The H07RN-F 1c-240mm² is a common heavy duty flexible rubber cable used primarily for power transmission in fixed installations and mobile applications, particularly where weather resistance and flexibility are required. Commonly used in industrial applications throughout Europe, it has a temperature rating of -30 o C to +60 o C for fixed installations (+85 o C for fixed guard installations) and a temperature rating of -15 o C to +60 o C when flexed.
Next, TST CABLES will give you a detailed introduction on the characteristics, structure and application of this flexible rubber cable.
Flexible Rubber Cable Standards and Logos
H07RN-F is a cable type defined in the European standard EN 50525-2-13, representing a single-core (H07) flexible rubber cable with high weather resistance (R) and oil resistance (N).
1c means that the cable has 1 conductor.
240mm² refers to the cross-sectional area of the conductor, which is a fairly large cross-section suitable for high current applications.
Flexible Rubber Cable Construction
Conductor: DIN VDE 0295/HD 383 S2 standard class 5 stranded copper conductor.
Insulation: DIN VDE 0282 Part 1/HD 22.1 standard type EI4 rubber.
Inner sheath (for cables ≥10mm² or more than 5 cores): NR/SBR rubber type EM1.
Outer sheath: CR/PCP rubber type EM2.
Flexible Rubber Cable Features and performance
Operating temperature: The minimum operating temperature of H07RN-F cable is -25°C, and the maximum operating temperature is +55°C (fixed installation) or +40°C (mobile application). It can withstand higher temperatures for a short time.
Bending performance: Due to its rubber insulation and sheath, this cable has excellent bending performance and is suitable for installation environments with frequent movement or bending.
Electrical performance: The cable has good dielectric strength and low capacitance and is suitable for use in AC or DC systems.
Flame retardant performance: Although H07RN-F is not a flame retardant cable, a version with flame retardant or low smoke zero halogen (LSOH) sheath can be selected as required.
Flexible Rubber Cable Application areas
Construction: Used for power distribution at temporary construction sites.
Industrial applications: In factories, warehouses and production lines, especially in situations where mobile equipment needs to be powered.
Agricultural machinery: Provide power for large agricultural machinery such as tractors and harvesters.
Outdoor events: Provide temporary power at open-air concerts, festivals, and other outdoor events.
Emergency power: As a temporary or backup power line in a generator or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.
Installation and maintenance
Installation: The manufacturer’s instructions should be followed for installation, and be careful not to excessively bend or twist the cable to avoid damaging the internal conductor.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect the appearance and connection points of the cable to ensure that there are no signs of wear, cracks, or other damage. When used in harsh environments, inspections should be performed more frequently.
